WMS Online Casino Software Review
Introduction to WMS Software
There are few companies with a more interesting history than WMS, which began its life in gaming, although a different kind of gaming altogether, and evolved, using its ingenuity, into a company that is kind of rare among its contemporaries, in that it has made an entrance into the online casino world at the same time it is a formidable entity in manufacturing gaming machines for land-based casinos. In that way it is different than Microgaming, Playtech, Cryptologic and others who are in the online space. And WMS operates its own casino using proprietary software, which makes it one of the few companies that fits into such a category.

History of WMS Software
If you really want to go back into the history of this company and its association with "amusements," you would have to go all the way back to 1943, with the establishment of the Williams Manufacturing Company in Chicago. They were involved quite a bit with pinball machines early on, becoming one of the big movers in the industry.
Changes in the market forced a rethinking of philosophy, and the company became WMS Industries in 1987. WMS Gaming was created in 1991, at first creating lottery terminals and then moving into the slot machine business. In 1999, pinball was completely put aside and gambling became the focus. In 2010, it opened its own casino for players in the United Kingdom at JackpotParty.com, where they put their great games on display.
About Their Online Slots Games
WMS has a number of exclusive slot games that are showcased on the JackpotParty website. In other words, if anybody wants to play those games online, they can sign up for an account with that casino. The slots come in a number of different categories: the G+ line is free spin-based and is rather big and bold in its appearance.
The Spinning Streak series is kind of unique in that winning symbols lock and then allow players to win even more money on the same spin of the reels. It is conceivable that a player could fill the entire screen with Top Award and Bonus symbols. The Hot Hot Penny slots are twice as likely to reach a bonus round, by offering, in their words, "more free spins, more often." The Hot Hot Super Re-spin slots also afford more chances to win. With Cascading Reels, new symbols drop onto the reels, which takes the place of traditional spins of the reels. The I-Play slots (Egyptian Riches and Enchanted Dragon) promote interactivity, with elaborate storylines and themes. And the "5 x 4' video slots offer an extra row of symbols that makes more paylines possible. There is little question but that the WMS people are among the most imaginative in the world when it comes to slot games.
About Their Table Games
Table games are not what WMS Gaming has built its reputation on, but that is not to say that the games are weak. They are easy to play right through the browser, and they offer some variety, though not as much as some of the other leading designers. But there are three kinds of blackjack you can play. One of them is of the conventional variety. Another is Super 21, which pays out for blackjacks made up of diamonds, totals of 21 that were compiled by five or more cards, or six-card hands that total 20 or less. There is also a "European" version of the game, with slightly different rules than the "standard" version.
The American and European variations of roulette are also available, as are baccarat, Pai Gow Poker, Caribbean Hold'em (where you are playing Texas Hold'em, except against the house) and Ride Em Poker, in which you would be dealt three cards, and take one of those cards along with two community cards to make the best hand. The layouts are authentic, the graphics are first rate and there is audio. They are a good companion to the dazzling collection of slots, although as we mentioned, this is not WMS' stock-in-trade.
About Their Other Games
There is a full collection of video poker variations that WMS deals with, to the extent that you are not going to be found wanting for options. You can play Aces and Eights, Bonus Poker, Celebration Poker, Bonus Deuces Wild, Bonus Poker Deluxe, Deuces Wild, Double Bonus Poker, Double Double Jackpot Poker (no typographical error there), Double Double Bonus Poker (likewise), Double Jackpot Poker, Loose Deuces and the very conventional Jacks or Better. These are all nicely appointed and highly functional. And their keno game is terrific.
As we stated before, this is a company that has put itself in a unique position. While it is true that they are one of the leaders when it comes to delivering the very best in slot machines for the land-based casino operator, and indeed has offices across the globe - in Spain, Australia, the U.K., India, China and South Africa, as well as the United States, and they have also expanded the offerings to include online games, which are available in full on the website they control, as well as some other online casino outlets to which they have licensed them. If JackpotParty is a showcase, it is a very effective one, as WMS has created a gaming experience that is pleasurable for customers in so many ways.
